Energy Efficiency

The demand for energy is increasing, while local and global environmental requirements become more stringent. As a result, the energy efficiency of the system will need to be improved considerably. A continued growth of energy supply is hardly a sustainable solution, unless radical improvements with regard to the supply from renewable energy sources are made. However, even such a scenario requires high efficiency in order to minimize the environmental impact.
