Projects and activities 2009:

Analysis of the EU Directive on the promotion of energy from renewable energy sources
Developments within the European Union and the implementation of EU directives have a significant impact on how the development of renewable energy is stimulated in the Nordic region.
In March 2007, the European Council reached an agreement to set a binding target of 20% renewable energy by 2020 and a draft directive on the implementation of targets and coordination was issued by the European Commission on January, 2008. In December 2008 the directive was passed by the EU Parliament.
